Counseling for Teens in Colorado

Available for teens age 14+

Being a teenager can be tough, and your needs are unique. Maybe you are dealing with stress or anxiety around school or family expectations. Maybe you are struggling with self-esteem or body image- not feeling comfortable in your own skin. It could be that you wish you had better relationships with your peers, family members, significant other, or yourself. At times you probably feel like no one understands you.

You also have your own opinions, ideas, and values. You may know what you want, but just are not sure how to get there. We want to empower you to be the leader of your own life. It is not our job to tell you what to do. It is our role to learn about you and your struggles, help you develop the skills that you need to be successful, and support you in living the life you want to live.

For teenagers struggling with:

Anxiety/Chronic Stress/Overwhelm

Relationship Issues (significant others, peers, bullying)

Body Image or Self-Esteem Problems

Counseling Can Help

We provide online therapy for teenagers in Woodland Park, Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, and throughout Colorado. Our goal is to create an environment that is comfortable and real- where you can learn about yourself and be who you really are, and also work towards quality relationships with yourself, your family, and your friends.

Anxiety Treatment for Teens

The expectations of being a teenager can be stressful and overwhelming. We work with clients on stress management, test-taking anxiety, organizational skills, mindful awareness, acceptance, and developing values and goals. The overall objective for any therapy is to help you live a life that you want to live, in a way that you are proud of. Learn more about anxiety treatment.

Relationship Issues for Teens

Relationships are complicated. We want them to be simple, but they usually are not. We work with teens on improving communication skills, navigating difficult break-ups, recognizing relational abuse, dealing with bullies, and staying true to who you are no matter what someone else does or says.

Body Image and Self-Esteem

Counseling for Teens

If you believe that you are not good enough, then this probably impacts every area of your life. Maybe you feel you are not thin enough, not pretty enough, or not smart enough. These thoughts may keep you from doing things that you want to do- like try out for the sports team, apply for a job, or talk to the new kid at school. If you find it hard to feel comfortable in your own skin, therapy may be helpful. We cannot guarantee that all of your negative thoughts will go away (our minds just don’t work like that), but we do believe that it is possible to learn skills to help you learn to love who you are, even if you don’t love every part of yourself.
